About Little Lake Lending

About Us

Little Lake Lending is a short-term installment lender operated by Layma, LLC, doing business as Little Lake Lending. We serve customers who need a defined amount of credit for a short period and prefer to repay it on an installment schedule.

Our Story

Layma, LLC is a wholly owned economic-development entity of the Big Valley Band of Pomo Indians of the Big Valley Rancheria, a federally recognized Indian tribe in Lake County, California. The lending operation is part of the tribe’s effort to build sustainable enterprises that support tribal government services and community needs while offering a regulated consumer credit product to eligible borrowers.

We do business as Little Lake Lending. Our office is at 2726 Mission Rancheria Rd, Lakeport, CA 95453. Applications, servicing, and customer support are handled online and by phone so customers across the states where we operate can reach us without traveling to Lakeport.

Our product is straightforward: short-term installment loans. First-time customers may qualify for amounts up to $2,000. Returning customers may qualify for amounts up to $2,500. Amounts, rates, and terms are subject to approval. We do not treat this product as a substitute for a long-term household budget or for lower-cost credit that may be available elsewhere.

All loans are subject to credit approval. Meeting eligibility requirements does not guarantee loan approval.

Our Mission & Values

Our mission is to provide a clear, installment-based short-term financial solution and to service it with accessible support. We aim to explain costs in plain language, honor the terms we disclose, and treat customers with respect whether they are applying, paying on time, or having trouble.

We work from these values:

  • Clarity. You should be able to find the amount, schedule, and material fees in your loan agreement without decoding jargon. If something on your account is unclear, we expect our team to explain it.
  • Responsibility. This is an expensive form of borrowing and is not intended to be a long-term financial solution. We would rather you borrow only what you need and repay it as agreed than stretch a short-term product into a cycle of repeat debt.
  • Access to a person. Questions do not keep business hours. Our customer service is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
  • Accountability. We operate under tribal law of the Big Valley Band of Pomo Indians and applicable federal law. We participate in industry associations that set expectations for online lending practice, and we maintain channels for customers to escalate a concern they cannot resolve with us.
  • Stewardship. As a tribal enterprise, responsible lending and responsible servicing are part of how we support the Big Valley Band of Pomo Indians’ economic-development goals.

What Makes Us Different

Several features of how we lend and service accounts are worth knowing before you apply. They do not change the fact that approval is never guaranteed and that this product remains a higher-cost form of credit.

  • Quick funding options. After you are approved and you sign your agreement, we disburse to your checking account by standard ACH or, when available, Real-Time Funding. Little Lake Lending does not charge a fee for Real-Time Funding; your bank may. Cutoff times and what “next business day” means are explained on the Apply page.
  • Early payoff without a penalty. You may pay extra or pay in full before the scheduled end of the term without a prepayment penalty from Little Lake Lending. How payoff quotes work and how extra payments are applied are described on Rates & Terms.
  • Big Fish Rewards. Customers can earn rewards for on-time payments and for completing surveys, then redeem them for gift cards or a principal paydown. Full program details are in the Big Fish Rewards Overview section on this page.
  • 24/7 support. If you need help with an application, a payment, or your online account, Customer Service is available around the clock. Contact details are on our Contact Us page.

These features are designed to help you use a short-term installment loan more cleanly—get funds when approved, pay it down sooner if you can, earn a modest benefit for staying current, and reach a person when something goes wrong. They are not a reason to borrow more than you need.

This is an expensive form of borrowing and is not intended to be a long-term financial solution.

Memberships & Affiliations

Little Lake Lending is a member of the Online Lenders Alliance (OLA) and the Native American Financial Services Association (NAFSA).

OLA is a trade association for companies in the online lending industry. Membership reflects a commitment to follow OLA’s standards of practice and to give customers an independent hotline if they cannot resolve an issue with their lender. The OLA consumer hotline number is listed on our Contact Us page.

NAFSA is an association of tribal governments and tribally owned financial-services enterprises. Participation connects our company to peers who operate similarly under tribal sovereignty and to a shared set of expectations for consumer lending by tribal enterprises.

Membership in either organization is not a government endorsement, a guarantee of approval, or a substitute for reading your loan agreement.

Account Security

We take the security of your application and account information seriously. In transit, we protect data using industry-standard encryption (including TLS). Access to customer information inside our operation is limited through access controls so that team members see what they need to service your account, not an open file on every customer.

You play a part as well. Use a unique password, do not share one-time codes, and log out when you use a shared device. If you believe someone has accessed your account without permission, contact us immediately.

For a full description of how we collect, use, share, and protect personal information—including cookies, your privacy rights, and how to reach us about privacy—please read our Privacy Policy. Our Data Collection Practices page provides additional detail on categories of information and purposes of use.

Big Fish Rewards Overview

Big Fish Rewards is Little Lake Lending’s customer rewards program. It is designed to recognize on-time payment behavior and to give you a way to put a small benefit back toward your loan or toward everyday purchases.

  • How you earn. You may earn rewards when you make qualifying payments on time according to your loan agreement. You may also earn rewards by completing surveys we invite you to take. Earning is not automatic for every action; qualifying activity, timing, and any caps or exclusions are governed by the program rules presented when you enroll or in your account.
  • How you redeem. Rewards may be redeemed for gift cards from participating merchants or applied as a principal paydown on an eligible Little Lake Lending loan. A principal paydown reduces the balance you owe; it is not cash back. Gift-card availability, denominations, and merchant lists can change. Redemptions are subject to the balances and rules shown in your account at the time you redeem.
  • What rewards are not. Big Fish Rewards is not credit, is not a rebate of interest, and is not a guarantee of approval on a future loan. Rewards have no cash value except as the program allows through stated redemption options. We may modify or end the program. If we do, we will describe how unused rewards are treated under the rules then in effect.
  • Getting started. After you have an account, look for Big Fish Rewards in your online portal or ask Customer Service how to view your balance and redemption options.
