Application FAQ
Will applying affect my credit score?
We review credit-related information as part of underwriting. Depending on the type of inquiry used, a credit check may appear on your credit file. The effect on a credit score, if any, depends on the scoring model, your overall file, and whether the inquiry is a soft review or a hard inquiry. We do not promise that an application will have no impact on your credit. If you have questions about what appeared on your credit report after you applied, contact Customer Service and, if needed, the credit reporting agency that issued the report.
Do you consider credit history when you review an application?
Yes. Credit information is one of several factors we use, along with income, banking activity, identity verification, and our credit policies. We do not approve or decline an application based on a single slogan or a single score cutoff described on this page. Past credit difficulties do not automatically mean you cannot apply, and they do not mean approval is assured. Every decision is subject to approval.
How long does the application take?
Many people complete the initial form in a matter of minutes if they have their information ready. Verification, underwriting, and signing can take longer if we need documents or if you pause and return later. Funding, once you have signed, follows the ACH cutoff and Real-Time Funding rules above. We do not promise an immediate credit decision or same-moment funding in every case.
Can I cancel after I'm approved?
Until you sign the loan agreement, you are not obligated to take the loan. After you sign, your right to cancel, if any, is governed by the agreement and applicable law. If disbursement has not yet been completed, contact us immediately. If funds have already been sent, canceling typically means repaying the amount disbursed according to the agreement. Do not assume an application or a signed loan is canceled until you receive confirmation.
